CHASING NATURE.....

BASIL AND THE SEED
The Basil Plant is one of the most interesting around. Did you know that the seeds of the Basil plant are known to remove unwelcome eye debris? Through experience of my own, I can say that my Grandmothers wisdom of this Plant helped me to understand the fascinating attributes within its seed. I came into contact with its properties because of a foreign object in my eye that became a nuisance after a few days. I was told by my Grandmother to insert one of Basil's Seeds into the affected eye which I was reluctant to do as you can imagine. But after a while of discomfort I decided to give it a try. When I placed the Seed in my eye, it immediately got lost inside and was gone. I could not even tell it was there. The next day upon awakening, I noticed the Seed at the corner of my eye along with all the debris. Basil not only removed the foreign invader, but  cleansed my eye for hours without even making a fuss! The aroma of the Seed has led me to believe that other than the ability to cleanse the eye it could probably chase away any unfavourable organisms that may reside inside. My opinion of Basil is one of curiosity, admiration, and respect. Its a Gracious Gift of Nature we most definitely need to protect!

 PAPAYA TISSUE REGENERATION 2012-2013
I've experienced up close the powerful regeneration abilities of the Papaya Tree. It seems to contain its own internal  stem cell regeneration system. Its amazing enzymatic properties that are known to be everywhere from its leaves, to the seeds to its trunk probably account for a huge part of its amazing ability to regenerate. I've come across many people that are not aware of this but...  the Papaya tree is so regenerative that it can easily heal from severe wounds from just about any part of the tree/plant. I have grown Papayas after losing ALL of the top portion of my tree/plants due to an unforgiving cold snap. I just remove the damaged tissue.... and the tree/plant/herb does the rest.

Our country cries with tears of pain
that fall upon its Lands of Grain
That once were rich and so alive
today can barely now survive
Our country grieves with great despair
 the damage done
 beyond repair
 A nation once....
 so big and strong
Is wounded now by what went wrong
She held her own throughout the years
Was home to those who fought her fears
Who stood beside the Land they knew
and watched how strong and proud she grew
 Together many shared a dream
 and built on visions
 they'd redeem
Success was theirs
 as freedom poured
 through faith and hope
 they all had stored
 America....
Land of the Free?
Known all too well by you and me
Is stricken now by laws that stand
 of which she cannot understand
 That seize all justice
 peace and hope
 She knows not how
 to breathe nor cope
She struggles as she moves along
The weight upon her...
much too strong
This Land once made for me and you
Endures the pain that she's been through
Her quest in search of what went wrong
remains unseen as she moves on
tis grim as man plays out his part
While constantly She's torn apart
 America...
Oh can't they see?
That time has but forsaketh thee
It's changed the Land that once before
stood out within her every core
Where those who loved the Land they knew
 Could witness dreams
 today
 too few
Within a Nation under God
 Thus formed for Peace
 and Hope to trod
